Through the face of death
I see the face of faith;
Just check Isaiah fifty three.
Can you see these wounds bleed?
The new covenant is now sealed.
I’m the One they’re trying to kill,
But I can’t disappear!
They think I’m fake
But I’ll rise on the third day;
Believe the words I gave,
In Me your hopes are truthful.

The time has come.

Did you see this life end?

This is another half-cover I'm making of a death metal song, taking heretical music and turning it into worship to and/or gospel of the Lord. The original song is by death metal band Kataklysm (check it out in Youtube if you want, it's intense!) and is titled "The Resurrected", but as it would be expected, it doesn't deal with THE resurrection, which is that of Christ (since they're a secular band).
So, these are the new lyrics I just wrote (also thinking of the contest by christians.deviantart.com regarding Jesus' resurrection and Christian hope through Him) as a rightful boast by the Lord Jesus Christ, telling His own story, so to say, starting from His cry on the cross ("My God, my God, why have You forsaken me?") referencing (the whole of) Psalm 22, which ends with the vindication of the psalmist and is a blatant typological prophecy of the crucifixion, as Matthew was thorough in showing in his gospel. THAT is Biblical hope. Jesus was certain of what was happening and what was coming, from start to end. He knew full well who He was ("I AM WHO I AM" at its clearest). So, the song starts from that point of the Passion and goes on pretty much to the eschaton (end times) through Revelation, as a call to simply trust (with full confidence) in what He did, and one could add, be CONSISTENT in everything else with that conviction.

Éste es otro cover "medio" que estoy haciendo de una canción de death metal, tomando música hereje y transformándola en adoración a y/o evangelio del Señor. La canción original es de la banda de death metal Kataklysm (escúchenla en Youtube si quieren, es intensa!) y se titula "El Resucitado", pero como es de esperar, no trata sobre LA resurrección, que es la de Cristo (puesto que son una banda secular).
Así que, ésta es la nueva letra que escribí ahora (pensando también en el concurso de christians.deviantart.com acerca de la resurrección de Jesús y la esperanza cristiana mediante Él) como un justificado gloriarse del Señor Jesucristo, contando Su propia historia, por así decirlo, empezando desde Su clamor en la cruz ("Dios mío, Dios mío, ¿por qué me has desamparado?") referenciando (todo) el Salmo 22, que culmina con la vindicación del salmista y es una descarada profecía tipológica de la crucifixión, como Mateo fue cuidadoso de mostrar en su evangelio. ESO es esperanza bíblica. Jesús tenía certeza de lo que estaba ocurriendo y de lo que venía, de principio a fin. Sabía plenamente bien quién era Él ("YO SOY EL QUE SOY" en su mayor claridad). Así que, la canción empieza desde ese punto de la Pasión y continúa más o menos hasta los tiempos finales de Apocalipsis, como un llamado a simplemente confiar (con total seguridad) en lo que Él hizo, y uno podría agregar, ser CONSISTENTE en todo lo demás con esa convicción.
